The StorageWorks MSL5026DLX defines a new segment in the Mainstream DLT Automation segment, with features such as hot plug drives and cPCI I/O slots normally found in enterprise libraries, to offer maximum reliability and uptime. With the highest capacity in its class of products in a compact 5U form factor, the library is available in Table Top and Rackmount versions. Managing backup and restores is simplified with a user-friendly control panel and management and diagnostics utilities from HP such as Insight Manager and TSMC (Tape storage management console) software. Multi-unit modular scalability, up-to 7 modules provides future growth opportunity and investment protection.

HP innovation has produced a unique product by offering hot plug drives. This capability provides for online tape drive replacement or addition without interrupting backup or restores function of customers' mission critical data.

The MSL5026DLX is positioned as a premium product in the mainstream DLT segment offering several feature enhancements. The MSL5026DLX complements the TL891DLX and enhances our offering for the mainstream DLT Automation segment. It is available in two models, MSL5026DLX (based on 40/80GB DLT) and MSL5026SL.
